Tuchel, who landed a stunning UEFA Champions League victory with Chelsea during his time at the London club, is set to depart Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich this summer – following a semi final exit to Real Madrid in the same competition, as well as a disappointing domestic campaign.

Thomas Tuchel remains betting favorite to land Man United post this summer after UEFA Champions League exit

Thomas Tuchel eliminates himself from Man United job running

And sat behind another former Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino in the betting race to land the Man United job, despite Tuchel’s removal from the sprint to become the new manager, fans and punters can still bet on the future of the position at Old Trafford, with a scatter symbol on offer to fans of the Razor Shark slot – as well as multiple wild card wins and prizes.

Holding preliminary talks with the INEOS-backed side last month, reports today on social media revealed Tuchel plans to take the summer off from football management following his spell with Munich, with the German coach thus eliminating himself from the race to take over.

With United set to make a definitive decision on the future of ten Hag as early as next week – as the fiasco over the Dutchman’s reign continues to rumble on, Man United enjoyed a fruitful end to their domestic campaign last month, lifting the FA Cup against rivals, Man City

Lifting the FA Cup for the first time since the reign of another Dutch coach, Louis van Gaal, goals from academy stars, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo guided Man United to a 2-1 win at Wembley – with Belgian winger, Jeremy Doku scoring what transpired to be a consolation for Pep Guardiola’s side.

And commenting on the future of ten Hag, the previously mentioned, van Gaal praised the former Ajax coach’s performance as manager, while insisting he could likely have done better – and should be afforded more time, as he should have himself.

“Of course [Erik ten Hag should not be sacked],” Louis van Gaal told Sky Sports. “But I needed also more time at Manchester United. I also won the FA Cup and before me for 20 years [no other manager] has got the FA Cup [at Man United].”

“Now, Erik is winning the FA Cup and also first year qualifying for the Champions League so I don’t think you have to sack him,” van Gaal explained. “He needs more time but I can also be more critical. He has not done it fantastically – you can give criticizm – but he has also shown he is a good manager.”

Expected to enjoy a busy period in the summer transfer window, United are reportedly exploring early deals for Eventon center half, Jarad Brantwaithe, as well as Crystal Palace winger, Michael Olise – with the Frenchman also on the radar of the above-mentioned, Chelsea, who themselves appointed former Italian midfielder, Enzo Maresca to replace Pochettino earlier this month.

Thomas Tuchel remains betting favorite to land Man United post this summer after UEFA Champions League exit https://soccerballworld.com/thomas-tuchel-betting-odds-man-united-job/ Thu, 09 May 2024 21:33:57 +0000 https://soccerballworld.com/?p=4219 German head coach, Thomas Tuchel still remains the bookies favorite to land the post at Manchester United this summer – if the club relieve Erik ten Hag of his duties, despite guiding Bayern Munich to their first trophy-less season since 2011/2012.

Thomas Tuchel, who is expected to leave the Bundesliga side at the end of their domestic season, watched on helplessly from the sideline at the Santiago Bernabeu last night, with Real Madrid scoring twice through late goals from Joselu, to book a Wembley final against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.

And on the cusp of a third competition final appearance, Thomas Tuchel’s side took a second half lead through an inspired substitution, with Alfonso Davies netting with a splendid effort.

However, failing to sure up the ship for the 90 minutes, Bayern were put to the sword late on with former Stoke City forward, Joselu scoring a late brace to send the capital side to a Wembley meeting against Bundesliga side, Dortmund.

And despite their late exit, Thomas Tuchel remains the current 6/4 betting favorite to land the Man United job this summer, if the new INEOS-backed regime elects to sack manager ten Hag amid a faltering season in his second campaign in charge.

Thomas Tuchel favorite to take over at Man United

Fans and punters alike can bet on a slew of candidates to land the Man United job this summer with the departure of ten Hag, as well as take part in their favorite casino games and other slots at https://casinorix.com/ca/ontario/ – with the sport sure to take in massive audiences ahead of EURO 2024 this year to boot.

Beyond Thomas Tuchel, United have also been heavily linked with current England national team head coach, Gareth Southgate, much to the dismay of the majority of the fanbase it has to be said.

Failing to guide the national side to any major competition victories, Southgate, a former Middlesbrough manager may have his last chance to do so this summer at EURO 2024 – with the side tipped heavily to finally land the European championship following 2021 heartbreak on home soil against Italy.

Furthermore, the side has been linked almost all season long with the pursuit of former Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea boss, Graham Potter, who has yet to return to football since his unceremonious departure from Stamford Bridge.

Another unpopular choice amongst the Old Trafford faithful, Potter reportedly turned down an approach from ten Hag’s former side, Ajax this week, who held the British coach in high regard, following a tumultuous season in the Eredivisie.

Managing back-to-back promotions with Ipswich Town following his departure from United as well as Michael Carrick from former coach, Ole Gunnar Solksjaear’s coaching team, the highly-touted, Kieran McKenna has also been sounded out as a potential candidate to take the helm, albeit holding a significant outsiders chance according to the bookies.

Akin to McKenna, Sporting Lisbon head coach, Ruben Amorin, who had been linked with the dugouts at both Liverpool, and West Ham United in recent months, is also considered an outsider when it comes to replacing ten Hag – who will hope to more than likely save his future with just three Premier League games remaining, and a FA Cup final against rivals, Manchester City.
