Arsenal vs Newcastle Betting Preview

We’re entering the final stages of the Premier League campaign and things are really starting to heat up in the race for the European places. While things have already been decided when it comes to the title and the relegation spots, there are a handful of clubs who still have a lot to play for. As for the rest of them, they’ll just want to ensure they end the season as well as they possibly can ahead of a really important summer.

For both Arsenal and Newcastle United, securing Champions League football is now the end game goal of this Premier League campaign. They’ve both had other things to focus on at various points throughout the season, but this is all that really matters now. They are both capable of leaving the Emirates with all three points, but it’s likely to come down to who wants it more.

Arsenal

Arsenal know that this season marks another year of them being the bridesmaids, not the bride. Mikel Arteta has had to deal with varying degrees of disappointment across multiple competitions, with their Champions League semi-final exit probably hurting more than anything else. They have a lot of quality in their squad as we know, but unfortunately, it hasn’t manifested into silverware for quite some time now.

The same, ironically, cannot be said for Newcastle. Under the guidance of Eddie Howe, the Magpies have been able to win a major trophy in the form of the League Cup this season. A lot of people will opt to point and laugh at us for calling it a big piece of silverware, but at the end of the day, they were the ones who went out there and performed better than a lot of big clubs in the competition.

Newcastle

So whether you’re here for a guide to credit card deposits or you just want to know a little bit more about the fixture, it’s time for us to dive into what we think is going to happen when Arsenal meet Newcastle.

The atmosphere will hopefully be rocking for this one and if we’re Mikel Arteta, we’re telling our team to really push Newcastle back in the first 10-15 minutes. You want to make them feel uncomfortable and ensure they can’t get into a rhythm because if they do, they can easily lean on their physicality to really wear you down.

Ultimately, it’ll be a tight affair because there really isn’t that much in it in the way of quality with these two sides, but we believe Arsenal will be the ones who score first. Newcastle will probably peg them back but the final chance will fall to the feet of a Gunner, and they’ll be able to pick up the win that deals a big blow to Newcastle’s European ambitions.

From there, it’s a case of looking back at what could’ve been from this season for Arsenal. It’ll hurt to start with but in the long run, it should serve as the motivation they need to come back even stronger.

Official prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle
