Poland hosts Ukraine in a World Cup Qualifying match in Warsaw today.  A win will keep Poland in 3rd place with a game in hand over Montenegro and England.  The other matches in Group H today are Moldova - Montenegro and San Marino - England.  If Poland loses and Moldova upsets Montenegro, Poland could fall to 5th in the 6 team group.

Poland 1-0 South Africa (Friendly)

Poland recorded their first ever win in the new National Stadium in Warsaw in a friendly match against South Africa.  A goal from Marcin Komorowski gave Poland a 1-0 win.

World Cup qualifying resumes for the National Team on Tuesday against England who beat San Marino 5-0 in their match on Friday.  That result took England to the top of Group H ahead of Montenegro, who also did not play a competitive match on Friday.  In the other Group H match Moldova held Ukraine to a 0-0 draw.

Poland opened their 2014 World Cup Qualifying campaign with a 2-2 draw away to Montenegro.
 

End of the road

PolskaPoland bowed out of Euro 2012 after a 1-0 loss the Czech Republic.  Despite creating several good chances in the first half the Polish team could not convert any of them.  After withstanding the pressure the Czechs took control of the match in the second half and took the lead through a Petr Jirá?ek goal in the 72nd minute.

Blaszczykowski saves a point

Poland played well in the opening 20 minutes of the match again, but Alan Dzagoev opened the scoring in the 37th minute for Russia with a header from a free kick.  However after the break Poland controlled the match better and found an equalizer through a wonderful Jakub Blaszczykowski strike.  It ended in a 1-1 draw.

To qualify for the quarterfinals Poland needs to win against the Czech Republic in the final group match on Saturday.
