Polish Clubs have met Rangers three times in European Cup play.  In the 1969/70 season Górnik Zabrze won twice 3-1 and 3-1 in the second round of the Cup Winners Cup. In the 1987/88 Champions Cup second round Górnik Zabrze lost to Rangers 1-3 and tied 1-1.  A year later in the first round of the UEFA Cup GKS Katowice lost 0-1 and 2-4.

In the nine times Polish clubs have met clubs from Scotland they have advanced four times.
